ingredients
6 rashers rindless back bacon
450g/1lb canned baked beans
2 tablespoons minced onion
2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
2 tablespoons Demerara sugar
• Preheat the oven to 190°C/
375°F/Gas mark 5.
• Dry-fry the bacon in a frying pan
until very crisp.
• In a deep casserole dish, combine
the beans, onion, ketchup, mustard
and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
• Crumble the bacon, and sprinkle
over the baked bean mixture.
• Heat in the oven, uncovered, for
10 minutes or until the sauce is
bubbly. Serve hot.
